"If I was asked what we have created, I could list project after project, but, honestly, what we have really created is a team. This Idea Manifestation Machine."

Empire State Building OBSERVATORY
"We’ve created far more than an exhibit," said Michael Beneville of Beneville Studios, a New York–based art and design studio that joined a team of architects, designers, and engineers in the project. "In its attention to detail, materials, and workmanship, this is an extension of the building itself. I think we are creating a work that complements the very soul of the Empire State Building.”
“We didn’t come up with the idea for AREA15 and go searching for a place to build it. We began with a partner's empty lot and the challenge of what to put across the highway from one of the world’s most magnetic entertainment capitals,” said Beneville. “What would break the gravitational pull of the Strip? AREA15 is the product of that process. This is a story about a creative collaboration 10x-ing a $10/square foot warehouse district with creativity and risk.”
FORBES – AREA15: THE MALL OF THE FUTURE
When I ask him about his favorite object, he demurs. “It’s not really about the objects, even though it is,” he says. “Of course, the client receives something at the end of the process, but, to a client, they will tell you that what they most enjoyed about the project was creating it.” In other words, what Beneville Studios sells isn’t one-of-a-kind objects but rather the creative process that results in those objects. Call it an idea-manifestation machine. Or you can just call it magic.
